All tanks are doing well and the substrate is very economical to use. If you want a "natural" color (versus black or white) you can always check out your local pool supply stores for pool filter sand.

08-11-2008· 3M ColorQuartz is just dyed sand. I don't remember if they put an epoxy coating on it or not. I know a lot of the colored aquarium sand you can get is epoxy treated to be inert in most water conditions. ColorQuartz is intended for sandblasting, and colored so you can see where the sand is going when you're blasting.

14-05-2009· NJ. May 13, 2009. #2. I went through the 3m website to find someone local. It came up with 2 distributors in NJ but they don't sell to the public. I would have to go through a pool place myself. It was recommended to me to use the T grade which is a little coarser the S grade is fine. I haven't gotten it yet myself.
