A hydrocyclone, or "cyclone", is a piece of equipment that uses centrifugal force to classify and separate solid particles from a liquid or mixed medium based on size, shape and specific gravity. It has a simple structure with one inlet on the tangent direction and two discharge openings along the axis direction.
