Nov 26, 2021· The mine is within the Bibiani gold belt and consists of 11 deposits. Open pit and underground ore are processed at the Chirano plant. The capacity of the mill is approximately 3.5 million tonnes per annum. Processing involves crushing, ball mill grinding, leaching, and CIL.

Since 1999 all ore has been sourced from open pit mining operations and is currently processed at the 9.8 Mtpa North Heap Leach facility and the 12.3 Mtpa CIL plant. A third facility, the South Heap Leach facility was closed in December 2008.

Must have a minimum of 10 years of operating experience in mineral processing with 5 years of progressive supervisory experience (preferably in open pit copper mining/milling operations). High school diploma or GED required. Demonstrated knowledge in crushing, grinding, flotation, and thickening processes.
